Zerocap’s partnership with Swinburne University of Technology: Crypto lectures for graduate students
Since March 2022, the Zerocap team has been providing guest lectures in crypto finance, technology and applications to graduate students from Swinburne University of Technology (SUT) in Melbourne, Australia.
The topics presented in class range from the basics of digital assets – such as the definition of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, Ethereum and smart contracts – to more advanced understandings of on-chain analysis, decentralised autonomous organisations and crypto conversion trades in cross-border payments and much more.
Developed in partnership with Dr Sarod Khandaker, the Director for Master of Finance courses, and William Fong who is Zerocap’s Treasurer, PhD candidate at SUT and part of Swinburne’s Masters of Finance Course Advisory Committee (CAC).
Recently, Zerocap also started participating in the curriculum construction process of the Masters of Finance and Fintech and the Bachelor of Business, where our team has provided its expertise in crypto-based case studies suggesting the optimal pathways to include digital assets in these SUT courses.
This partnership is a consequence of increasing interest from universities in providing education related to cryptocurrencies as a whole, becoming a potential career path for current and future professionals as the digital assets ecosystem gradually consolidates itself into mainstream finance. Zerocap is very honoured to take part in this endeavour where we are able to provide our corporate experience to drive this market into new grounds of understanding and adoption.
